All About Wildflower

Becky Dansereau aka “Wildflower” graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, Connecticut in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After being out of college for a year and working with children for the state of Connecticut Becky decided to go back to school to obtain a teaching certificate in elementary education which she completed in 1990. Since then she has been a substitute teacher, a director for a before and after school program, an assistant teacher for the Department of Defense in Ansbach, Germany, a preschool teacher, and a kindergarten teacher. Becky joined the Starbase team in Rutland in August of 2005.

She loves being a Starbase Instructor and working with children all over southern Vermont. She also enjoys working with Chief and Jade. In her spare time Becky enjoys cooking, reading, running, hiking, biking, camping, gardening, and traveling. She also enjoys being with her family. She has been married to her husband, Tom for 17 years. He is an aircraft mechanic and an inspector. Together they hope to one day find time to restore a small aircraft such as a Cessna with the help of their two children, Alexandra (age 13) and Ian (age 11).
